For your $10.00 donation to my walking in the "Weekend", you will receive one ticket; for a $25 donation you will receive 3 tickets. Only 300 tickets are available.
 
Appropriately there are eight prizes in total -- 4 great wine selections, made on premise and complete with new bottles, labels and shrink-wrap tops and 4 copies of a wonderful book on wine.

En Primeur Amarone from Veneto, Italy
This opulent wine is not for the feint hearted! Chewy tannins, firm palate packed with dark, rich fruit defines this masterpiece. Fermented on Sangiovese Grape Skins and toasted French oak chips, this is an assertively full-bodied wine with a delectable nose of black cherries, dark chocolate and well balanced oak. Prize comprises 30 750mL bottles of wine and has a retail value of over $260.
 
Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand
Marlborough is the Sauvignon Blanc capital of the world - and home to this popular full-bodied wine of intricate complexity. It displays tantalizing aromas of tropical fruits and honey against a backdrop of bold citrus notes and a touch of minerality. Prize comprises 30 750mL bottles of wine and has a retail value of over $260.
 
CCWS Rosso Bravissimo
The newest addition to the Cellar Classic Winery Series line-up, Rosso Bravissimo will develop into a complex, bold wine typical of the warm, sunny Tuscany Region. Fermented on Merlot Winery Grape Skins and Hungarian Oak, Rosso Bravissimo offers cherry and plum notes that are complemented with cassis and rich tannins leading to a graceful, lingering finish. Prize comprises 30 750mL bottles of wine and has a retail value of over $240.
 
Cru Select Platinum Australian Chardonnay
Typical of Australian Chardonnays - and their rich, buttery characteristics, this wine is clean and crisp with loads of fruit. It is golden-hued and slightly tart. Prize comprizes 30 750mL bottles of wine and has a retail value of over $210.
 
And the book is Exploring Wine, The Culinary Institute of America's Complete Guide To Wines of the World. In this, the second edition of this book, threerenowned wine experts take you on a glorious and grand tour of the wines of the world ... demistify wine ... describe the art of food and wine pairing ... and much more. Over 800 pages including beautiful photograhs to complement the well-written text. Four books are available to be won, each with a retail value of over $95.
 
How The Prizes Will Be Awarded
 
Early Bird Draw: At 6pm on June 30, 2010, one ticket will be drawn at random from all tickets issued by that time. Subject to correctly answering a skill-testing question, this is the Early Bird Prize winner who will receive his/her choice of one wine prize.

Final Draw: At 4pm on July 31, 2010, seven tickets will be drawn at random. Subject to correctly answering a skill testing question, the first three names drawn will receive their choice of the remaining wines and the final four names will receive one copy of the book.
 
Important Notice re wine prizes: Winner must start and bottle their wine prize at Bloor West Winery.
